Students explore the history of Greek mythology and the mythopoeic worldview widely shared among the culture groups that ringed the ancient Mediterranean. Students examine Greek mythology to better understand the role of mythic discourse in the construction of desire, beauty, authority, religion, identity, and other matters the Greeks believed necessary for the good life.
