Catalog description

Advanced level course in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Explores advanced techniques for collection, processing, analysis, and visualization of geospatial data. Students develop GIS skills and knowledge in preparation for working independently. Also focuses on GIS project management. Students improve written, verbal, and visual communication skills through report writing, in-class presentations, and cultivation of advanced cartographic skills. Prerequisite: take GEOG 251
