Catalog description

Methods and materials for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating mathematics curricula for elementary classrooms (grades 4-6). emphasis is placed on: 1) utilizing process skills, 2) fostering content knowledge in the mathematical areas, 3) assessment, 4) mathematical content instruction, and 5) building positive attitudes for the mathematical classroom. Students will continue to develop skills in the classroom environment while maintaining professional responsibilities for teaching at the elementary level. Prerequisite: Benchmark I completion
