Introduction to microbial life forms including Archaea, Bacteria, and Eukarya. Survey of microbial cell biology, physiology, molecular biology, ecology, and pathogenesis. Bacteriological and molecular methods used to identify microorganisms in natural and artificial environments. Prerequisite: take BIO-101 or BIO 132 or BIO 135 or BIO 136 or BIO 234 or BIO 242 or BIO 252
