Catalog description

Overview of major social scientific and humanistic approaches to environmental problems. Introduces basic concepts in environmental management including laws and regulations, community-based approaches, scientific communication and education, market-based approaches, environmental ethics, and risk management. Discussion of how and why environmental management conflicts arise and best practices for avoiding, reducing and managing conflicts. Application of these approaches to local and regional environmental issues.
