Catalog description

Introduction to the social work profession, including history, areas of practice, generalist social work, the NASW Code of Ethics, the Council on Social Work Education competency areas, and the profession’s commitment to social justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Emphasis on the collaborative skills and professional behavior necessary for effective social work practice. This course is part of a service-based pricing program. Special tuition will apply for students enrolling in this course.
