Leadership in Sport

Catalog description

Aims to develop and enhance students' leadership skills by examining the personal, interpersonal, and team-based skills that are required in leadership roles. Using a comprehensive perspective of leadership, students will engage in a review of leadership theory, and explore common leadership approaches within sport business. In addition, course content will explore the practice of effective leadership, understand necessary changes when leading during times of change or crisis, and in different contexts (amateur, college, and/or professional sport).
