Catalog description

Explores traditional healing practices within a variety of global contexts. Employing a comparative perspective, we will ask questions about the relationships between religion and healing, the mind and the body. Throughout we will practice skills of empathetic understanding and critical analysis as we learn about diverse worldviews. Available for graduate credit as REL 507.
