Catalog description

Psychology and artificial intelligence (A.I.) have a storied history of interaction between the fields. This course will examine the history between the two fields and show how each field has spurred the development of the other. We will then examine the current relationship between psychology and A.I.; topics will include sensation and perception, memory, natural language processing, problem solving and creativity, and general intelligence. Finally, we will examine the personal and societal impact of artificial intelligence and how this technology will transform 21st century life.
