Catalog description
Introduction to Heinrich Schenker, his analytical methodologies, and his contributions to music theory. Application of Schenkerian techniques to tonal repertoire, as well as an overview of standard musical forms (including binary, ternary, rondo, and sonata form). Available for undergraduate credit as MUS 413. This course is part of a service-based pricing program. Special tuition will apply for students enrolling in this course.
