Practicum in Higher Education and Student Affairs

Catalog description

Will consist of practical experience in a student affairs department under professional supervision. Students will complete projects within a Student Affairs department that increase their skills, knowledge, or abilities in the competency areas outlined by ACPA/NASPA. Projects will be individually tailored to the students’ interests and skill level. The student will spend a minimum of 70 hours per credit at their practicum location and will produce a review document that summarizes the practical application of their experience. May be repeated up to 2 times in different departments. This course is part of a service-based pricing program. Special tuition will apply for students enrolling in this course.
