Catalog description

Will include an overview of law, policy, and compliance in higher education and student affairs. This includes the knowledge, skills, and dispositions relating to policy development processes, the application of legal constructs, compliance/policy issues, and the understanding of governance structures and their impact on one’s professional practice. By the end of this course, students possess a comprehensive understanding of educational law in higher education and are equipped with the skills and knowledge to navigate legal complexities and understand the responsibilities of student affairs professionals to make informed decisions, and effectively support the success and well-being of students within a legally sound framework. This course is part of a service-based pricing program. Special tuition will apply for students enrolling in this course.
