Taxonomy, morphology, and ecology of algae with emphasis on local species. Field collections, small group experiments, lab analysis of field and cultured samples, and discussion of current algal research literature. May not earn credit in both BIOL 538 and WATR 538. Available for undergraduate credit as BIOL 338.
