An introductory interdisciplinary exploration of life on Earth and the prospects of life elsewhere in the Universe. Topics include the formation and evolution of planetary systems, the origin and evolution of life on our planet, our solar system and extrasolar planets, habitability, the search for intelligent life, interstellar travel and the Fermi paradox.
