Catalog description

The course introduces graduate students and practicing teachers to the key concepts regarding vocabulary, such as the notion of the word, meaning, semantic relationships, lexical classes, and lexical variation. It familiarizes students with the vocabulary teaching pedagogy including vocabulary learner strategies and vocabulary teaching techniques. Prerequisite: Admission to TESOL graduate program or consent of the TESOL Program Director. (F)
