Catalog description

This course provides classroom practice through observation, participation, and teaching under the direction of a university supervisor and a cooperating teacher in a university affiliated school setting for a full day, full semester experience following the daily schedule and semester calendar of the cooperating school. Teacher candidates are expected to relate principles and theories from their professional education and pedagogical knowledge base to classroom practice. The course will require teacher candidates to attend on campus professional development seminars throughout the semester. Prerequisites: -permission from field placement director. (F, Sp)
