This course is designed to familiarize students preparing for a profession in teaching. Topics include theories of child development and learning, motivation, classroom management, instructional applications, and individuals differences. A field experience in schools is required and connected to the classroom discussion. Prerequisites: Admission to MSE Elementary Education program; co-enrollment in TED 706 and TED 708. (F)
