Student Teaching - Internship Teaching

Catalog description
This course is for students enrolled in an internship teaching situation. It provides classroom practice through observation, participation, and teaching under the direction of a university supervisor and an elementary or secondary level cooperating teacher in a university affiliated school setting. Students will teach full days over an entire semester following the daily schedule and semester calendar of the cooperating school. Students are expected to relate principles and theories from their professional education and pedagogical knowledge base to classroom practice. Students are involved in professional development activities throughout the semester. Prerequisite: invitation to intern.
