Catalog description

This course is required for students enrolling in the COST Program. This course provides classroom practice through observation, participation, and teaching under the direction of a university supervisor and an elementary or secondary level cooperating teacher. This experience occurs in a university affiliated school setting for a full day, half semester experience following the daily schedule of the cooperating school. Students are expected to relate principles and theories from their professional education and pedagogical knowledge base to classroom practice. Students are involved in professional development activities throughout the experience.
