Catalog description

This course is designed to prepare participants to teach health education as a part of a Coordinated, Comprehensive School Health Education program. Participants will design lessons as well as practice and reflect on strategies and methods for teaching health education. Although instructional techniques are emphasized, other professional considerations (e.g., professional growth, professional organization involvement and publications, resource utilization, use of technology) are incorporated in the course structure. Prerequisite: Admission to Teacher Education or Admission to EPP Tier II.
