Catalog description

This course supports continuous professional growth through online and face-to-face interactions with peers, course instructors, cooperating teachers, and student teaching supervisors and reflection on practice. This class helps the teacher candidate analyze teaching and schooling from legal, ethical, historical, philosophical, sociological and critical perspectives. This course also focuses on practical support for teacher candidates, such as creating a productive classroom environment. This course includes statutory requirements to meet the following: Professional Ethics and Responsibilities, and Mandatory Reporting Requirements. Requires concurrent enrollment in TED 472 or 473 or 474 or 475 or 476 or 477 or 478 or 479 or 480.
