Catalog description
As future school psychologists, students are expected to engage in advocacy practices in their work that promote equity and social justice in education. This course serves as a foundation for students to increase their awareness of socio-cultural diversity characteristic of the United States; to augment their personal insight as multicultural beings and how who they are influences how they see others; to construct a knowledge base as it relates to supporting diversity in the schools; and to enhance their abilities to engage in culturally-competent service delivery.
