Catalog description

This course is designed to put you onto the path of becoming a sociologist, by examining the scientific method as used in sociology. Emphasis is placed on how evidence is assembled to produce explanations of social phenomena, and on the skills necessary for engaging in sociological inquiry. It helps to prepare sociology students for the rest of their research coursework in sociology. Prerequisites: SOCI 100 or CRIM 130. (As offered)
