Catalog description

This is a hybrid course offered partially on campus and partially online. The course addresses constructivist evaluation of historical and current research in literacy. Topics include methodological issues, basic processes, analysis of reading research design models, electronic information retrieval systems. Candidates learn to design and carry out a basic teacher-research project and present their results. Prerequisite: at least two of the Reading Program Techniques courses (READ 761, READ 722, READ 750, TED 705) or the permission of the instructor. (Sp)
