Racism and prejudice are important social issues and this course will help you to better understand how they operate and why they continue to affect us as Americans. We will cover a variety of topics including the development of race and racism, how different racial groups were formed, stereotypes, implicit bias, and institutional disparities. A number of different psychological concepts will be covered to help you better understand these processes. (Sp)
