Catalog description

This course examines theories and research findings in the field of cognitive psychology. Topics include the basic processes of attention, pattern recognition, memory and knowledge, as well as psycholinguistics. Special emphasis is given to applications to real-world tasks such as reading, studying and driving. Prerequisites: PSYC 101 and one of the following statistics courses: PSYC 201, MATH 216, MATH 226, ECON 226, MATH 231; or permission of instructor. (F, Sp)
