Catalog description
We will examine prominent psychological theories and research related to physical, cognitive, emotional, social and cultural aspects of growth and development from conception to end of life. We will discuss the scientific study of development including learning about questions researchers ask, methods that they use and how findings are interpreted. Throughout the course we will reflect on and talk about the cultural basis of development and how research is related to real life experience and application. Prerequisites: none (As offered).
