Catalog description

This course provides an exploration of the field of public administration and the growth of government and bureaucratic power in the U.S. The distinctive features of public goods and services, decision-making and leadership in the public sector, program evaluation and termination are presented and discussed. Case studies and experiential exercises are incorporated throughout the course to strengthen the critical connection between theory and application in public administration. Examples are drawn from the national, state and local levels of government. (As offered)
