Catalog description

Lecture topics include: Boolean Algebra, number systems, data formats, combinatorial and sequential logic, Karnaugh Mapping, and timing diagrams. The laboratory investigates logic families, gates, counters, adders, decoders, shift registers, busses, and FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) programming and interfacing. Prerequisites: Physics 122 or 132 or consent of instructor. (Sp, alternate years)
