Advanced Physics Lab II

Catalog description

This writing intensive hands-on laboratory course emphasizes the training of students for experimental research including experimental design, data collection techniques, and statistical analysis. Experimental design, error analysis and a variety of data analysis methods are integrated into several extended experiments selected from many areas of physics. Students learn how to work effectively as part of a research group. Formal experiment write-ups and oral reports are required. Prerequisites: PHYS 301 Offering Term(s): Spring
