This course serves as an introductory-level course for students considering a career in music education. Course topics include: music education pedagogy, music leadership, school systems, social issues in schools, student diversity, educational philosophy, teacher ethics and dispositions, professional music organizations, and career expectations. Field Experience: 15 hours. Course fee required. Prerequisites: Instructor consent required. (F)
