Catalog description

Participants learn to support the upper elementary learner in acquiring knowledge/skills of math:multiples and factors, integers and other bases,squaring and cubing, ratio and proportion, introductory statistics, probability and algebra. Participants explore mathematics history, and learn to use differentiated instruction to guide learners with materials that support movement from concrete to abstract. Prerequisite: MONT 500 or permission of the instructor.
