Catalog description

This course covers the basic concepts of descriptive and inferential statistics. The inferential topics include point and interval estimation and hypothesis testing. Under hypothesis testing are the topics of: type I and type II errors, power of a test, t-test, analysis of variance and non-parametric methods. A computer package, such as R/ R Studio is used to analyze big data sets. Prerequisites: MATH 167. (Sp)
