Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to the central concepts of descriptive and inferential statistics from an intuitive point of view, including the use and abuse of statistics in contemporary settings, frequency distributions, measures of central tendency and dispersion, sampling, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, and methods of presenting statistical data. Prerequisite: WPT Math Formula score of 40+, ACT Math score of 20+, MATH 25 or MATH 30. May not be taken after receiving a C- or better in another statistics course. (F, Sp, SS-as offered)
