Catalog description

Intermediate Japanese II is the second course in a two-semester sequence that develops communication skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It also develops sociocultural understanding of Japanese language and society. This course aims to solidify the previously learned vocabulary, Kanji, and structures through various communication activities including reading authentic materials, narrative writing, interview, and presentation. About 90 Chinese characters (kanji) will be introduced. The classes are conducted primarily in Japanese. Prerequisite: JAPN 201 or equivalent. (Sp)
