Catalog description
This course introduces students to the basic concepts and techniques of empirical research that are generally used in social science, but are specifically applicable in both the study of Political Science and International Studies. The course has three main purposes: First, to help students to gain a solid understanding of how to conduct research, second, to help students choose interesting research topics and questions that will be used in the senior seminar (INTS 480), and third, to introduce students to both qualitative and quantitative methods they might use in their own research.
