Measurement, Evaluation and Assessment in Health and Physical Education

Catalog description

In this course, students will be exposed to concepts in measurement and evaluation, statistical analysis of data with computer applications including strategies for selection, administration, and evaluation of assessment tools in health-related fitness, skill and motor performance, the cognitive domain, measuring affective behavior, as well as grading procedures. Objectivity, validity and reliability and methods of their estimation will also be introduced. Students will be involved in applied work through statistical computing and field/lab tests.
