Catalog description
This course covers traditional and state-of-the-art techniques used to collect geographic field data. Topics include map use, orienteering, recording field observations, using GPS technology for mapping, data collection, and field checking. Students will learn how to create spatial databases from field observations and integrate these data with GIS. Prerequisite: GIS 250 (F)
