Catalog description

This course covers concepts and techniques related to map design and production. Topics include map lettering and labeling, elevation and topographic visualization, thematic mapping, and map production for printed and digital environments. Map layout, design, and cartographic problems that pose special challenges will be explored from practical and theoretical perspectives. Prerequisite: GEOG 250. (F, Sp)
