Catalog description

In this class we examine imagery of the planets and satellites of the solar system in order to identify geologic features and the processes responsible for their formation. Special emphasis is given to tectonic, impact, volcanic, and geomorphological features and theories concerning internal structure of the planetary bodies. Prerequisite: GEOL 101 or PHYS 117, or equivalent course required. (F)
