Geological Destinies of Nations (g)

Catalog description

This course will engage students on the sustainability of geologic resource use as it relates to economic, environmental, and social justice as well as examine the potential for, and consequences of, unsustainable resource use. Our entire society is dependent upon geological resources. This course examines the epic quest through history--past, present, and future--for nonrenewable mineral, energy, soil, and water resources. World events, politics, and resource conflicts will be explored. (F, Sp).
