Catalog description

Civil engineering software will be used to construct and analyze 3D models. Students will learn common data formats of survey data, how to import survey data and construct base maps. Generation of topographic maps, alignments, plan and profile views, and cross sections will be addressed. Additionally, the software will be used to calculate cut and fill of earthwork and to generate a bill of materials for payment. Prerequisites: GENG 121. (Sp, alternate years)
