Catalog description

This course covers design of static and dynamic multi-component mechanical systems. The design of power-train components like axles, shafts, gears, belt and chain drive systems are investigated. The design of systems containing lubricated bearings, clutches, brakes, and gasketed joints are also covered in this course. Prerequisites: PHYS 250, PHYS 252, MATH 266, GENG 345. (Sp)
