Catalog description

This course examines differential, integral, and experimental approaches to fluid mechanics as encountered by an engineering student. Conservation of mass and the control volume for fluids in motion and at rest, pressure distribution, integral and differential approaches are studied. Open channel and duct flows are analyzed. An introduction to compressible and boundary layer flows are also presented. Prerequisites: GENG 165, MATH 266. (F)
