Catalog description

This course will focus on advanced strength and conditioning training and the application of scientific theory on the design of strength and conditioning programs. Concepts include movement analysis, advanced training techniques, periodization, plyometrics, olympic lifting and age and gender considerations. Included with the movement analysis portion of the course, biomechanical principles of movement also will be covered. Prerequisite: EXSS 366 or HEAL 262 and PE 131 and PHYS 114 or consent of instructor (F, SP)
