Catalog description

Fundamentals of environmental impact assessments including basic documents, document processing, and agency and public involvement in the assessment process. Preparation of environmental impact statements, environmental assessments, phased site investigations and environmental audits are discussed. Students investigate and present key elements of impact analysis on specific environmental topics including water resources, air quality, environmental health and safety, wildlife and wetlands. Prerequisites: ESM 105 and two of the following: Chem 115 or above, Biol 100 or above, Geol 101, SOILS 120, ESM 220. (Sp)
