Environmental Sustainability: Theory, Issues, and Management

Catalog description

This course presents an essential foundation for critical thinking and professional development in the environmental science and management field. The course explores the broad spectrum of philosophical, historical, and technical issues pertaining to the management of natural resources and the people using those resources in a sustainable manner. The course will enact systems thinking to discuss solutions to global issues in sustainability such as sustainable development, climate disruption, and environmental justice. Prerequisite: ESM 105 or consent of instructor. (F,Sp)
