Catalog description

This course is based on Federal wildfire training for beginning firefighter certifications, specifically the Incident Command System, Fire Behavior, and Fire control. Course content is presented under the direction and control of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR), which is the granting agency for the Federal and State firefighter certifications. The course includes, in addition to wildfire control, techniques for the use of prescribed fires as a natural resources management tool. (Sp)
