Applied Engineering Hydrology

Catalog description

This course applies engineering principles to understand the processes of hydrologic risk and frequency analysis, infiltration and runoff processes, and soil erosion and fluvial processes. Students will apply these concepts to design hydrologic control structures such as grassed waterways, detention ponds, outlet structures, and pipe conveyance. Prerequisites: SOIL 120 and (GENG 336 or consent of instructor) (F).
