Catalog description

This course investigates the design and management of systems for pollution control and waste management through prevention, pollutant removal, and destruction. Topics include risk assessment, water pollution, water treatment, waste water treatment, air pollution control, and solid waste management. Environmental engineering design concepts are applied to practical real-world pollution problems. Prerequisites: CHEM 111 and CHEM 116 (F).
